1. George TARRANT (1871-1952), son of <no name> ( - ). Born 1871. Occupation House decorator (masterman); also did beautiful sign writing (HK). Died 16 Oct 1952, Cambridge. Grave in Mill Road cemetery. Helen King writes: George was a freemason and liked his drink! He had a child (John, now living in Colchester?) with his housekeeper (Mildred Dudley, from Grantchester; now buried there), while his wife, Emily, was in Fulbourn hospital, where she stayed for 25 years. Ivy, George's youngest, helped to bring up John. George was married again, when in his 70s, to an American (?) who already had a child. When he died, his money went to her rather than to Ivy and his other children. Sp. Emily TAYLOR (aft1872-1942). Born btw 1872 and 1875. Died 9 Jun 1942, Cambridge.
