On 1841 census, address is 'Street', Risby, Suffolk. Charles Edwards, age 10, is also living with them around this time (is he a younger brother of Susan who came to live here after his mother died, or is he a nephew of Susan? Alternatively, he could be an earlier child of Susan's.] 1851 census, living at 67 Tollgate Road (see note for Robert Smith (b 1806?). Around 1861, Emily Lyes aged 4, their grandaughter, is living with them. Around 1871, William Lyes, their grandson aged 7 and George Clift, lodger, are living with them. 1851 census suggests birth date 1811.

.1871 census shows her DOB as 1816. Data is confusing. Were 2 children born before they were married? Jerry's christening reg names Susan as Sturman, not Edwards - but they were not married for another 2 years acc to marriage reg.

My original date of death was 1862 (app), taken from transcription of Risby parish records. Presumably refers to a different William Sturman?

My original estimation for birth date was between 1854 and 1858. Around 1881 street address was 'Green'. Around 1891 living in Risby Hall Cottage. Percy and Mary Eagle (25, 23) were farmer & wife at Risby Hall Farm. John's birth dates throw up questions - either his mother was about 47 when he was born - or he is the son of an older brother or sister and was brought up by his grandparents? Note: he is described as the son of Charles and Susan Sturman in the 1861 census. Also note discrepancy of given ages in 1861, 1871, 1881 and 1891 censuses).

Some confusion - could be the same Jeremiah bn 1833. Jerry Sturman is listed on 1851 census, age 18. Evidence is from parish registers, not census, so could be a cousin. Either way, he and Charles Edwards can not be brothers is birth dates are accurate.
